To make your race day go smoother
What is the inspiration behind the race?
On June 12, 2016, 49 angels sought the joy, love, and acceptance of Pulse Nightclub. Instead, they found hatred. And they never came home. They were gay. They were straight. Latin, black, white. Mothers. Brothers. Sisters. Daughters. Sons. Lost forever.
In the aftermath of the largest and deadliest act of violence affecting LGBTQ people and the deadliest terrorist attack by a single gunman in modern American history, our community came together to prove that love will overcome fear and hatred.
Please join us on Saturday, June 6, 2020, as we celebrate the “Love, Hope, Courage, Strength, Unity and Acceptance” that brought Orlando and the world together during the healing process following the Pulse nightclub tragedy of June 12, 2016.
Do I need to be a trained runner to participate?
No! The CommUNITY Rainbow Run is offered to all those who would like to take part in our 4.9K. There is also the option of walking the distance as well.
Is the race timed?
The CommUNITY Rainbow Run is not a timed race. The purpose is to celebrate life while honoring the lives that were lost in the Pulse Nightclub shooting, therefore we encourage the runners to run or walk at whatever pace they would like.

Will refunds be administered?
Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds for pre-paid registration. The event is rain or shine. We are actively monitoring public health guidance related to the current COVID-19 outbreak. Since the annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run is not scheduled until June, we believe it’s premature to cancel or postpone associated events at this time. We have begun exploring different options to honor and remember the 49 Angels and all those affected by the Pulse tragedy. We will always prioritize the health and safety of the public, the Pulse community, and our employees, volunteers, and will make a decision regarding the CommUNITY Rainbow Run as we get closer to June based on guidance from local, state, and federal health authorities.
Where is the best place to park along the course/is there a fee for parking?
